Budget cuts would negatively impact court system says state employee

The state judiciary needs a verdict on its future amid looming budget cuts. Either mandated furloughs or cutting some of the states 1,600 court employees will have adverse affects on Marion County residents using the court system. That’s according to a state employee in Marion County who would be affected by the changes. They say that although furloughs would be preferred to permanent layoffs, the legislature could examine raising fees.
