A fire this morning destroyed an outbuilding on a farm north of Pella. The blaze at 448 Highway T-14 was reported at 6:47 this morning. Firefighters arrived to find the structure engulfed in flames. Captain Randy Bogaard with the Pella Fire Department says the building was a total loss. However, the property owner tells KNIA/KRLS News that he was able to rescue about eight sheep and their lambs from the blaze. Bogaard says heat lamps in the building may have started the fire.
