The Knoxville Rural Township Fire Department responded to a grassfire extending over several acres at the 1700 block of 108^th Place Wednesday, extinguishing the fire quickly with no injuries.  Fire Chief Kenny Thompson reminds residents conducting controlled burns in the county to always call the Sheriff’s Office at 828-2220 so authorities are aware of the burn.
