The 2009 Coal Miners Day celebration is Saturday in Melcher-Dallas. Laurie Goff is EMS coordinator for the Melcher-Dallas Fire Department. She says the event begins at 11 a.m. on Main Street in Melcher-Dallas with the parade. The KNIA/KRLS Big Red Radio will also be at the event, playing music and making announcements.
