A Knoxville resident died in a hayfield just north of 1423 165th Ave Saturday afternoon, after becoming caught in a round bailer. The Marion County Sheriffs Office tells KNIA/KRLS that Robert E. Boehmler, age 85, was bailing hay, stopped the tractor, and due to unknown circumstances caught his hand in the compression rollers and he was pulled inward. The Sheriffs Office says due to injuries as a result of this accident Mr. Boehmler passed away at the scene. Marion County Sheriffs Deputies, Knoxville Rescue, Knoxville Township Fire Department, and Knoxville Police Department all responded to the scene. The incident is still under investigation by the Marion County Sheriffs Office.
