A Knoxville family will be named as one of five recipients of The Way We Live Award at the 2009 Iowa State Fair next month. The Petersen family, which includes parents James and Julie and their four children, Justin, Jacob, Joshua and Jenny, works 850 acres of crops and raise 800 head of ewes and cattle. The Way We Live Award recognizes industrious Iowa families who demonstrate a dedication to animal agriculture and exemplify farm values.
