The murder trial of 39-year-old Knoxville resident Steven Dean McGinnis continued Thursday in the Marion County Courthouse. McGinnis is charged in the September, 2008 shooting death of Knoxville resident Robert Ohl. Witnesses called to the stand Thursday included a medical doctor and pathologist who testified she determined Ohl’s cause of death was from multiple shotgun wounds. The doctor also testified that toxicology results showed no alcohol or illegal drugs were in Ohl’s system at the time of his death. Video of law enforcement questioning McGinnis the night of the murder also played for the jury Thursday. Witness testimony Wednesday included Robert Ohl’s wife, Rhonda Ohl and Bob Schnug, one of McGinnis’ friends. KNIA/KRLS News will bring you more information as soon as it becomes official.
