Four Knoxville City Council seats and the position of mayor are all up for election this year, and residents can begin filing paperwork for the open seats today. Both the mayoral seat and the two city council positions have two year terms, while the other two council seats are four year terms. Residents can pick up candidacy paperwork at City Hall, and all papers must be filed to Knoxville City Clerk Jody Meyer by September 17th.
