The driver of a sanitation truck was injured Thursday morning after his vehicle rolled down an embankment near Pella. Justin Franklin of Melcher-Dallas was traveling southbound on T-15, when he failed to negotiate a turn onto Idaho Drive. The truck rolled into the ditch, coming to a rest on its side. Franklin was transported to Pella Regional Health Center where he was treated and released. He is being charged by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office with failure to maintain control. The truck, which belonged to Midwest Sanitation, is listed as a total loss.
