A recently received accreditation means continued state aid and recognition for the Knoxville Public Library. Library director Rosalin Thompson says the library files every three years for accreditation, which brings a higher rate of compensation through the State Library of Iowa’s Enrich Iowa/Direct State Aid Program. Thompson says other measures of quality—from being handicapped accessible and having a book club—also contribute to the state recognition.
