The winning car from the 1971 Knoxville Nationals will soon be on display at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum. Jan Opperman won the 1971 Nationals and now the car he drove to victory. Museum Curator Tom Schmeh says the Opperman car was recently restored to its original design. Schmeh says the goal next year for the 50th Knoxville Nationals is to have as many Nationals winning cars on display as possible. He says they are already off to a good start.
