The Pella Community Ambulance will begin hosting an EMT Training course next month. Pella Ambulance Director Doug Polking tells KNIA/KRLS News that the course will run from September 10th through December 10th; with classes two nights a week and on three Saturdays. The course is being offered through Des Moines Area Community College and is worth six college credit hours. There will be fees for tuition and course materials. Polking says the training is ideal for anyone seeking to enter the health care profession, or those who are looking for a way to give back to their community.
