The Marion County Board of Supervisors received an update on the Tracy Sewer Project Monday. Project officials say they’re looking to re-apply for a 90-day extension on $255,000 in a community block grant for the project which Mahaska Rural Water Systems received in April. The timeline for the block grant officially ends September 30th. The project would construct a wastewater treatment facility, consisting of a network of sewer service lines and a lift station, which would serve 112 homes. Mahaska Rural Water officials say the project is set to start the construction phase, and is hoped to go bid by the end of September.
