School Board Sign Reminders

Posted: Thursday, August 27th, 2009 at 6:26 am

As the September 8th school-board election approaches in Marion County, candidates are reminded that it’s illegal to place election signs in city right-of-ways or on the edge of county roads. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office says signs must be kept on private property. County Auditor Jake Grandia says Friday at 5 p.m. is the voter-registration deadline for the school-board elections, although same-day registration will also be available September 8th.
