Child Evangelism Fellowship will host a Good News Club in Pella for children ages 5 to 12 starting Thursday, October 8th through April 2010. They will meet weekly from 3:30 to 5:30 in the Madison School art room in Pella. For more information, call 625-4224.

The Pleasantville Christian Church is holding a craft and bake sale on Saturday, October 3rd from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm at the church. All proceeds go to benefit the Pleasantville Church Baby Gift Basket Ministry.

Pella stayed perfect in Little Hawkeye Conference play and won their 23rd straight home match dating back to 2007 with a 3-0 sweep over Grinnell last night 25-12, 25-16 and 25-22.

Pleassantville lost to I-35 in three games in Pride of Iowa Conference Volleyball action last night. The Trojanns fell to the Roadrunners 25/14, 25/17, and 25/19. Also, PCM go t a big win over Roland-Story last night three games to one 25/14, 25/19, 23/25, and 25/14.

It is just a few days away until the sixth annual Lucas Oil Late Model Nationals at the Knoxville Raceway. The first day of compeition is THursday with night one qualifying. Many of the familar names in late model racing will be in Knoxville this weekend including Billy Moyer, Brian Birkhoffer, and Jimmy Mars. Also, three very familar names from the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series are scheduled to compete as Tony Stewart, Ryan Newman, and Kenny Schrader will be in Knoxville this weekend.
