Area Clinics Offer Seasonal Flu Vaccinations

Area hospitals are encouraging residents to get their seasonal flu shots early this year to help to help prepare for H1N1 vaccinations, which will begin later this fall. Because of this, area clinics are accepting appointments for vaccination dates beginning as soon as next week. Pella Regional Health Center will hold influenza vaccination appointments at their Pella clinic, as well as clinics in Bussey, Knoxville, Monroe and Sully on Tuesday during regular clinic hours, and will also have dates available the following two weeks. Knoxville Hospital and Clinics is accepting appointments for September 30th and October 7th, and the Knoxville Hy-Vee will host a clinic daily from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, beginning September 22nd. The Pella Hy-Vee plans to host a clinic as well, sometime next month. Clinic hours and locations are listed below:

Knoxville Hospital & Clinics:
Flu shot clinic September 30th from 6:00-9:00 a.m. and October 7th from 4:00-7:00 p.m.

Pella Regional Health Center:
Patients at the Pella Clinic: Call your physician’s number directly or call 641-621-2200. Extra staff will be available for flu shots during normal business hours, please call ahead.

Bussey Clinic:
Tuesday, September 15 – 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Thursday, September 24, 9:00 – 11:00 am
