Central College’s Angie Berry has been named the Iowa Conference women’s cross country runner of the week while Sarah Paulson has received the honor for women’s golf after home victories. Berry ran away with the Central Dutch Invitational cross country title Saturday, turning in a career best 18:30 on the 5,000-meter Central course. That topped her previous best and ranks her eighth on Central’s all-time list of 5,000-meter runners. It was 26 seconds ahead of the nearest competitor Saturday. Berry helped the Dutch sprint to a first-place finish in the six-team meet. Paulson cruised to a similarly comfortable victory in the 36-hole Central Invitational women’s golf tourney at Pella’s Bos Landen Golf Club Friday and Saturday. She fired a 158 and won by eight shots. Central was second behind Division II Truman State in the 11-team tourney.
