A new exhibit in the Mills Gallery at Central College will focus on the visionary plans and execution of the newest building on campus. “Art, Architecture and Sustainability” features architectural drawings and plans for the building – which houses education, psychology and communication studies – and tells the story of the building’s many “green” features. This includes the “green” roof, special landscaping, a wall made from recycled wood scraps, and the sustainable heating, cooling, and lighting. The exhibit opens Wednesday and will remain on display through October 30th. An opening reception with some of the architects who designed the building attending will be held in the Mills Gallery at Central College on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
