The summer swimming season started off strong this year at the Pella Aquatic Center, but cool temperatures in July and part of August hurt attendance and sales for the summer overall. Pool manager Jan Bensink tells KNIA/KRLS news that attendance in July was down by 6,200 guests from last year, accounting for the bulk of the roughly 6,900 fewer guests that used the Pella Aquatic Center this past summer.
