The Pella Community Ambulance begins hosting an EMT Training course next week, and is still enrolling students interested in becoming a paramedic. Pella Ambulance Director Doug Polking tells KNIA/KRLS News that the course is valuable for students and those looking to advance in the medical field, as well as an opportunity for civic-minded citizens to give back to their community. The courses will run from September 10th through December 10th and be held twice per week and on three Saturdays. The courses are worth six college credits through Des Moines Area Community College. Anyone with questions on the EMT Training courses is encouraged to contact the Pella Community Ambulance at 628-1780.
