September is National Library Card Sign-up month, and in recognition of the importance of reading, all of the second grade students from Madison and Lincoln Elementary Schools in Pella visited the Pella Public Library.  Fifty-four students signed-up for their first library cards during the visit, and classroom teachers read the book I Took My Frog to the Library by Eric A. Kimmel.  For students at Madison, it was their first bus field trip of second grade, while students from Lincoln enjoyed the walk.
