Two-time Knoxville Raceway Champion Earl Wagner has passed away after a long illness. Wagner won the track title in 1958 and again in 1959. He won 43 career feature events at the Knoxville Raceway, he also made ten Knoxville Nationals A-mains with his best finish of second in 1971, Wagner was inducted into the Knoxville Raceway Hall of Fame in 1979 and the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame in 2008.
