Central College is now the only remaining undefeated football team in the Iowa Conference, after the Dutch handed Coe College a 24-6 defeat on Central’s Homecoming.

Sophomore receiver Jeremy Snead tied a school record with twelve catches; finishing with 137 yards and two touchdowns. The existing record of 12 catches was set by Randy Busscher against Ferris State (Mich.) Sept. 21, 1974.

Central also got 123 yards rushing on 22 carries from running back David Zachary; the third time he has run for over 100 yards this season. In all, the Dutch offense rolled up 455 total yards; while the defense allowed the Kohawks just ten yards rushing and less than 200 yards of total offense.

One of the leaders on that defense was junior Aaron Steenhoek of Pella. Steenhoek had six tackles, including three-and-a-half for a loss and two-and-a-half sacks.

With the win, fifteenth-ranked Central is now 4-0 overall and 2-0 in the Iowa Conference.
