A leading Republican in the Iowa House and GOP gubernatorial candidate will be speaking at an event in Pella Tuesday evening. Christopher Rants, a representative from Sioux City, will be the guest speaker at a regular meeting of the Republican Central Committee. Marion County Republican Chair Irene Blom tells KNIA/KRLS News she had previously contacted Rants about coming to Pella, but received word that he would be available just last week. The meeting is open to all members of the public and will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the High Point Coffee Shop on East 13th Street in Pella.
