Many area communities will be teaming with children in their finest Halloween attire Friday night for their city-wide “Beggars’ Night.” Official hours in Bussey are from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., while children in Knoxville, Melcher-Dallas, Monroe and Pleasantville will be in search of sweet treats between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m.

Pella will host its “Beggars’ Night” on Saturday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Residents are reminded to be on the look-out for children crossing the street, and those who wish to hand out treats need to remember to turn on their porch lights for the children’s safety.
