Central College will look to maintain their dominating trek through the Iowa Conference rolling today, but they’ll have to go through a perennial trouble-maker to do so. Luther College comes to Pella hoping for a repeat of last year’s 26-7 whipping of the Dutch in Decorah, when freshman quarterback Chris Reynolds lit up Central’s defense, and Coach Jeff McMartin says slowing down Reynolds will be a top priority for the Dutch.

“He does a great job of running with the ball and directing their offense and throwing the ball. They’ve got some good speed at wide receiver and I think their tailbacks are also very good, but what they want to do is make sure that Chris [Reynolds] is touching the ball,” said McMartin. “He’s their leading rusher, he’s their leading passer, and he should be. He’s just a very talented athlete.”

Central is 4-0 in the conference, while Luther carries in a 2-1 record in league play. Coverage of the game can be heard on 92.1fm, KRLS and at www.kniakrls.com with Trevor Castle providing the call. Coverage from Pella starts at 12:45 p.m.
