Pella Christian played hard but Pella just had too many weapons as the Lady Dutch’s balance prevailed 3-1. Pella won the first two games 25-18 and 25-21 in the cross town rivalry but Pella Christian battled right back leading game three start to finish winning 25-21 before Pella closed it out with a 25-20 win in game four to extend their home winning streak to 24 games. Pella was led in kills by Hali Steenhoek with 16, Brooke Fessler had 13 kills to go along with 45 assists, 5 ace serves and 10 digs. Kelsi Rempe had 11 kills and Jordyn Vandelune added 9 kills along with 13 digs. Lindsay Bentzinger had 18 digs and Kenzie Vandermolen added 10. Courtney Kelderman had 4 ace serves. Pella Christian was led by Courtney Kroeze with 14 kills, Bekkah Posthuma had 30 assists, Hannah Vermeer had 3 blocks, and Darci Jansen had 15 digs. Pella improved to 25-4 overall and 5-0 in the LHC and can clinch the conference title with a win over Norwalk next week while Pella Christian fell to 13-10 overall and finishes 5-2 in the LHC which puts them no worse than second. Pella hosts their own invitational Saturday while the Eagles travel to the Western Christian tournament.
