Knoxville gleaned valuable insight into the culture and music of Israel during a concert Saturday featuring the Israeli Ethnic Ensemble. Megan McKay Ziller with the Red Rock Arts Alliance says 260 tickets were sold to the concert, and she’s received many positive comments about how unique it was to have the ensemble in Knoxville, which was chosen as one of only nine Midwestern cities to host the Arts Midwest World Fest from 2009-11. McKay Ziller says the French Canadian ensemble Mauvais Sort is the next group which will be coming to Knoxville in March, 2010. She adds she hopes the Arts Alliance will continue to attract event sponsors and members, and membership forms are available at redrockartsalliance.org.
