The Pella football team goes into Week 8 of the season needing to pick up some momentum if they hope to succeed in the postseason. Rival Knoxville comes to town tonight, and Little Dutch Coach Jay McKinstrey says as much as the team wants to get a win against the Panthers, it’s more important for the team to continue to improve and work toward their season goals.

“We want to go out and improve tonight and play well,” said McKinstrey. “This is an important game for us in our season as far as some of the goals we have. We certainly do want to make a push into the post season, and this is the next step…”

Pella comes into the game with a 2-3 record in District 6, while Knoxville sits at 0-5. Coverage of the game will be broadcast live on 92.1fm KRLS starting at 7:00 p.m. with Eric Gotschall and Randy Sikkema providing the call. Kickoff between the Little Dutch and the Panthers is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
