The flu has made its way into Pella over the weekend. Pella Regional Health Center spokeswoman Billie Rhamy tells KNIA/KRLS News that the emergency department has reported a dramatic increase in patients with flu symptoms in the past 7-10 days.

Rhamy adds that there have been confirmed cases of H1N1, but a specific number has not been recorded. As always, residents are encouraged to take preventative measures to avoid spreading or contracting the virus and to stay home and rest if you believe you may be sick.
