Knoxville Raceway Tries Again To Get Late Model Nationals Running

Posted: Saturday, October 3rd, 2009 at 6:30 am

For five years the Lucas Oil Late Model Nationals have went off without any weather problems. But so far for the sixth annual edition, no racing will happen until the final scheduled night which is tonight. Rain once again has forced the Late Model Nationals at the Knoxville Raceway to be called off last night. They will run the entire show tonight with one-lap time trials, and heat races with the top four in each heat transferring to the A-Main. Raceway officials say there will likely be a D-Main. The Knoxville Raceway has also cancelled the entire modified portion of the night.
