30 children from around the world will become American citizens Saturday during a naturalization ceremony at Dan-D Farms in Knoxville. Jana Dennison of Dan-D Farms says the farm was selected by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services bureau as part of the “On the Road in Iowa” project. She says the naturalization ceremonies are held four times a year in Iowa, with locations selected because of their uniqueness and attractions. The event starts at 1 p.m. Saturday, and coincides with Dan-D Farms Harvest Moon Festival going on that day. Admission to the festival is $6 per person with children three and under free.
