Over $1m in Flood Recovery Contracts Awarded for Red Rock Projects

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Rock Island, Illinois recently awarded over $1 million in contracts for repair work at Lake Red Rock. A Tennessee company was awarded a bid worth over $720,000 for sewer work and repairs at the Howell Lift Station and North Tailwater area of the Lake, while an additional $347,000 will go to a Minneapolis contractor for concrete removal and reconstruction in the North and South Tailwater areas. The work will repair damage caused by high waters in the summer of 2008.
