Ken Locke Stadium in Knoxville has new signs showcasing the Panthers and community.
A sign with “Historic Ken Locke Stadium”, the Panthers gold logo and “Est. 1938” was placed on the back of the scoreboard Wednesday. Pat Kading with the Knoxville Alumni Association says the organization, through the efforts of the Save Our Stadium, or SOS, Committee, paid for the sign. She says they collaborated with Athletic Director Randy Wilson and the school district in the project. Wilson, who worked on getting a similar sign behind the press box at the Stadium earlier in the season, says the signs are a positive addition to the community.
