Central College sophomore Sarah Paulsen destroyed an Iowa Conference tournament scoring record and cruised to her second league title in the process, helping the Central women’s golf team finish second in the team standings of the conference tournament. Paulsen bested the previous record, which she shared, by six strokes and was seven shots better than the tournament runner-up.

Paulsen’s coach, Jodee Schaben was named Iowa Conference Coach of the Year for guiding the Dutch to the second place finish. Still, the Wartburg women claimed their fifth conference title in six years. Other notables for Central included freshman Kaurie Kincaid of Knoxville, who placed 13th overall in the 72-hole tournament.
