After dealing with injuries and illnesses for much of the first half of the season the Pella Christian cross country teams finally appear to be getting most everybody back in their lineups which is good considering the post season is not far away. The Eagles turned in some of their best performances Tuesday at the Knoxville Invitational which has Coach Jocelyn Meinders excited for the rest of the season. She says it was great to see three boys runners place in the top 10 and was also glad to see Josh Meyer back on the course as he finished 8th in his first race back in the last two weeks. Skyler Giddings has also emerged as a leader this season for the Eagles and Meinders says both have legitimate chances of qualifying for state. She says most everybody is back running on both the boys and girls squads and says they’re all working hard to get where they want to be by post season time. The Eagles get the weekend off before returning to action again next week on Tuesday at Centerville.
