After exceeding expectations at Monday’s Little Hawkeye Conference meet, the Pella Christian Cross Country teams are riding a high note into their final regular meet of the season. Eagles’ Coach Jocilyn Meinders says Thursday’s meet at Chariton should be a fun meet for both boys and girls squads, and hopes it can sharpen the teams’ focus before going into the district meet.

“They’re in shape; they’re peaking,” said Meinders, “which I think is pretty obvious by how they ran at conference. It’s just a matter of them being ready.”

The Eagles’ begin running at 4:30 p.m. tomorrow afternoon in Chariton.
