The Pella Christian football team is hoping to move one step closer to another district championship with a win over Interstate-35 tonight. The Eagles are 4-0 in District 6 and can maintain a one-game lead over Mount Ayr in the district standings with a victory. Pella Christian Head Football Coach Rich Kacmyrinski says it will be important for his team to stay focused on the Roadrunners and not look ahead on the schedule.

“We know I-35 is a good football team. I think our guys are pretty focused and we understand that we have to take one game at a time,” said Kacmarynski. “There might be a temptation to look ahead to Mount Ayr, but honestly, I think we’ve seen enough videotape [on I-35] and we’ve seen what they can do to understand that we need to play our best football game tonight.”

Kickoff between Pella Christian and I-35 is scheduled for 7:00 tonight in Pella and will be broadcast on 92.1 fm KRLS with Eric Gotschall and Nate Van Wyk providing the call, starting at 6:30 p.m.
