A graduate of Pella High School recently completed Army basic combat training at Fort Jackson in South Carolina. Pfc. Chase Waters studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values in his nine weeks at Fort Jackson.

Waters also trained in physical fitness and received instruction and practice in combat skills, weapons training, chemical warefare, bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, and field training exercises.

Chase Waters is a 2009 Pella High School graduate and the son of Barb Allen of Pella.
