Pella High School journalists came home with top honors from the Iowa
High School Press Association’s Fall Conference at Southeast Polk
this past Friday. Last year’s Pelladium won sweepstakes honors in all three categories possible – writing, photography and graphics.

Additionally, several individual students brought home awards in various categories, including: Nathan Kooker, 1st Place in editorial writing; Blake Lanser, 2nd Place in yearbook layout and design; Seth Vander Horst, 2nd Place in
photography; and, Jake Anderson and Eric Moore achieved honorable
mentions in editorial writing and editorial cartooning.
