Wet weather last weekend forced the relocation of the Davis County Marching Band Competition from Bloomfield to Pella, and the new host school made the most of the opportunity. Pella High School claimed 1st Place in the nine-team field show competition.

The change of venue gave the Little Dutch marching band a chance to take advantage of the recently installed synthetic field at the high school athletic complex. Pella Marching Band staff member Dick Redman tells KNIA/KRLS News the band performed well in their first contest, especially given that their previous rehearsal opportunities had been rained out.
