The nominees are in and now a second ballot is available to select the 12 finalists for the 2010 Tulip Time Queen and Court. 23 young ladies accepted their nominations and each voter must select three candidates by casting their ballots in cans at the Pella Hy-Vee, Fareway and Marion County Bank, among other locations.
Official ballots can be found in this week’s local newspapers. Rules include only one ballot per voter, and voters must be at least 17 and have a permanent home address in the Pella Community School District.
Once votes have been tallied and the twelve finalists selected, the 2010 Tulip Time Royal Court will be chosen from a panel of judges on November 9th at the Pella Christian High School. Tickets to the event will go on sale next month.
The deadline for Tulip Time Queen and Court finalist ballots is Tuesday, at 5:00 p.m.
