After dropping three out of four contests in the middle of the season, the Pella football team is hoping they’ve gotten back on track after a pair of large-margin wins over South Tama and Knoxville. Little Dutch Head Coach Jay McKinstrey says the last two weeks have helped the team regain a winning mentality.

“I just think that these two games have been very good for us, at least as far as our confidence level,” said McKinstrey, “and to get ourselves back into a groove and get our mindset back into like, ‘Yes, we are a good football team. Yes, we do have opportunities yet this season. Yes we can hopefully get into the postseason and hopefully play well in there.’ So I think it’s just kinda re-energized us a little bit as a football team.”

Pella is 3-3 in District 6 and travels to Norwalk on Friday night to face a Warriors team that is 2-4 in the district and coming off of a loss to Carlisle last week.
