Thousands of Marion County residents shopped local yesterday for Black Friday – traditionally one of the busiest shopping days of the year. Lines were reported outside of many stores, including both the Knoxville and Pella Hy-Vee locations before they opened. The KNIA/KRLS Lil’ Big Red Radio was also at Stravers True Value and at Bruxvoorts Decorating in Pella, while the Big Red Radio was at the Knoxville Hy-Vee. Bruxvoorts Decorating, Stravers True Value, Goosselinks Christian Bookstore in Pella and The Next Chapter Bookstore in Knoxville were also among local retailers reporting strong sales, among other retailers.
