A 56-year-old Knoxville resident was transported to Knoxville Hospital & Clinics yesterday, after he was hit by a car on Highway 14 by the VFW. That’s according to Knoxville Fire Department Chief Mike Roberts. Knoxville Fire & Rescue, Knoxville Police Department, Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies and the Iowa State Patrol all responded to the scene.
