Central’s Brondyke Picks Up Second Football Honor This Week

Central College’s most recent football victory over Buena Vista has been good to kicker/punter Kurtis Brondyke. In the same week that the junior – who also plays receiver for the Dutch – was selected as the Iowa Conference football special teams player of the week, he was also recognized nationally as a member of the team of the week.

Brondyke averaged a season-best 49.4 yards on five punts against the Beavers, including a career-long 78-yarder. It’s the third time Brondyke has been chosen for the honor, after being tabbed twice in 2007.
