Even though the Pella volleyball season ended a little quicker than they would have liked at the State Volleyball tournament, this season is one that will be remembered for a lot of reasons. The team set a school record for wins in a single season with 39, won their first outright Little Hawkeye Conference championship finishing 7-0 in matches and 21-1 in games, won the Regional championship and advanced to state for the fourth consecutive season. Coach Bob Fessler says even though they came up short at state this team was one of the best he’s coached. He says every day the girls found ways to make practice fun but then knew how to turn it on and take care of business come game time. Pella loses three seniors from this years team including Jordyn Vandelune, Courtney Kelderman and Hannah Forsythe but with a talented group of juniors returning including their top two hitters and setter the future is very bright for Pella volleyball.
