Holiday Season is the Time to Give to Local Food Banks

Food and giving are often two themes that are associated with the holiday season, and for area food banks, to two run together. JoNes VanHecke, Director of the Pella Food Shelf, says now is the time of year when food shelves really benefit from the generosity of others, and encourages residents to drop off food donations large or small at the Pella Food Shelf inside the Peace Lutheran Church. In related news, the KNIA/KRLS Big Red Radio will be at the Third Reformed Church in Pella, on behalf of Van Gorp Insurance, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Monday collecting food donations for the 8th Annual KNIA/KRLS Food Drive. Help us fill up the Big Red Radio, and together we can help fill the local food banks of Marion County.
