Two area girls’ basketball teams are ranked in the first pre season poll released by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union. Knoxville comes in at number 14 in class 3A. The Panthers are coming off a 21-3 season last year and will open their season tonight by hosting A-D-M in night one of the Second Annual Panther Tip-Off Classic. Twin Cedars is ranked number 15 in class 1A. The Sabers went 12-10 last season and will have one of the best athletes in the area as Lyndsey Hoehns will play her senior season for the Sabers.
