The Marion County Sheriff’s Office and Knoxville Police Department cooperated to identify suspects in car-theft cases this week. Deputy Troy Fisher tells KNIA/KRLS News that three vehicles were reported stolen last week: two from the county and one from Knoxville. When Knoxville police officers heard deputies were investigating, they spotted two juveniles carrying items similar to one reported to have been in one of the stolen vehicles: archery equipment. All the vehicles were recovered, and Fisher says it’s believed the two suspects were involved in all three thefts. Sheriff Ron Goemaat says it was good to see cooperation between the two departments, and although subjects have been identified, the case remains under investigation.
